Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about our ATV and UTV tours.

Are ATV tours beginner friendly?

Yes. Every ride starts with a hands-on safety briefing, and our guides stay with you the entire time. First-timers usually ride UTVs, which feel more like driving a car. Most beginners are comfortably cruising the trail within 15 minutes. Read our Beginner's Guide to ATV Riding for more tips.

What should I wear for ATV riding?

Wear closed-toed shoes (boots recommended), long pants, and a long-sleeve shirt. Bring sunglasses or goggles, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. We provide DOT-approved helmets with every rental. See the full what to wear guide for details.

Can kids ride ATVs?

Riders must be 16 or older to operate their own machine. Younger guests can ride as passengers in a UTV (side-by-side) with an adult driver, making it a great option for families.

Do ATV tours happen in the rain?

Light rain is part of the fun — mud riding is one of the best parts of the experience. For severe weather like thunderstorms, we'll reschedule your ride and contact you in advance.

How long are the tours?

Plan for about 2 hours total — roughly 90 minutes of saddle time on the trails, plus the safety briefing, staging, and breaks. We're flexible for groups wanting extended ride time.

Is prior experience required?

No experience is needed. We provide a full safety briefing and guided ride. Our beginner-friendly trails and experienced spotters make it easy for anyone to enjoy the adventure. Check out the Ultimate Texas ATV Guide for everything you need to know.
