What we do
#1 Adventure Off-Road is a guided ATV and UTV rental operation based at Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport, Texas — about an hour from Fort Worth and an hour and a half from Dallas. You show up; we handle the machine, the helmet, the fuel, the safety briefing, and the guide who rides with you.
Most off-road rental outfits hand you a key and point at a trailhead. We do not. Every ride we run includes an experienced guide and a spotter, because the difference between a great first ride and a bad one is almost always someone nearby who knows the terrain.
Who we are for
Our typical guest has never operated an off-road machine before. That shapes everything about how we run the business.
- Complete beginners — no experience needed, and we recommend starting in a UTV, which drives much like a car
- Groups — bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate retreats, family reunions, and team-building days
- Families — riders 16 and older operate their own machine; younger guests ride as passengers in a UTV with an adult driver
- Visitors to DFW — a genuine outdoor day trip that is not a museum or a restaurant
Where we ride
Northwest OHV Park is roughly 300 acres with about 25 miles of marked trail, graded from wide beginner loops through technical rock climbs. It is the closest full-size OHV park to the Metroplex that allows ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and 4x4s alike. After a Texas rain, the low spots and tank crossings hold water for weeks, which is how most of our guests end up in the mud photos.
We publish a maintained directory of every OHV park in Texas — including the ones nowhere near us — because riders deserve one honest list instead of a dozen affiliate roundups.
The fleet
Every machine we rent is a Yamaha, professionally inspected before each rental.
- Yamaha Wolverine RMAX4 1000 XTR — four-seat side-by-side, 999cc twin-cylinder, the machine most first-timers and families ride
- Yamaha Kodiak 450 EPS XTR — sport quad with electric power steering for tight turns and rocky climbs
Full detail on both machines is on the services page.
How we handle safety
Off-roading carries real risk, and pretending otherwise is how people get hurt. Our approach is deliberately conservative:
- A hands-on safety briefing before every ride, no exceptions
- DOT-approved helmets provided and sanitized after every use
- Closed-toed shoes and full-length pants required — no shorts, legs fully covered
- A guide and spotter with the group for the entire ride
- Severe weather means we reschedule and call you in advance; light rain we ride
Our FAQ covers the rest, and the beginner's guide walks through what a first ride actually feels like.
Recognition
We have been named by UTV Offroad Magazine as one of Texas' top off-road rental experiences, and we hold a 5.0 rating across more than 200 Google reviews.
